The Czech Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports has approved experimental testing of international Advanced Placement (AP) exams for use in high school graduation diplomas. AP exams are globally recognized exams taken by five million high school students worldwide each year. With the support of the Ministry, Czech high school students will now have a unique opportunity to take exams with international validity.
The internationally acknowledged AP tests are newly recognized at the Institute of Economic Studies at Charles University in Prague. In the Czech Republic, the AP tests are offered by the Center for Talented Minds.
The Center for Talented Minds (CTM) in the Czech Republic has set up a cooperation with the Institute of Economic Studies (IES FSV UK) at the Faculty of Social Sciences at Charles University in Prague. Through this cooperation, prospective students will be able to use results of the interntionally renowed AP tests. IES FSV UK will use the results of AP tests for admission scores for the Czech Bachelor program in Economics and Finance and also the AP scores will be recognized as an equivalent for selected compulsory courses in both the Czech and English undergraduate program.
LINCOLN, Nebraska, USA / Prague, Czech Republic, — April 6, 2016 — The University of Nebraska High School (UNHS) welcomes students of the Centrum pro talentovanou mladez (CTM), Czech Republic, to its globally recognized program. UNHS has made available 17 of its online courses, including rigorous Advanced Placement (AP) courses approved by the College Board, to CTM students.
CTM gives students 11 to 18 years of age the opportunity to compete directly with the best in the world. CTM students love the challenge. It boosts their motivation, their confidence and their performance while making them more comfortable using English as the school language. It is also a great way for them to prepare for university studies at home or abroad.

Under the agreement, CTM’s instructors will teach GPA courses across a wide range of subjects including math, science, language arts, and Advanced Placement (AP).

Best Czech high schools students compete successfully with the world’s best! They prove this by their outstanding results in Advanced Placement (AP) exams. To succeed calls for motivation, discipline and some 10 – 12 hours of extra study time every week in CTYOnline courses.
Last school year 46 Czech and 7 Slovak students took AP exams through the Center for Talented Youth (Centrum pro talentovanou mládež, z.s.), the official partner of the College Board in the Czech Republic. They did superbly in the most rigorous CTYOnline AP courses, earning on average a 4.00 on a 5-point scale for AP exams compared to the global average of 2.89. They confirmed that they belong among the very best. In recognition of their accomplishments they have received internationally recognized evaluation certificates, which play an important role in an admission process to world’s top universities.
