At CTM, we empower pupils and students to accomplish their academic dreams.

Established in 2010, CTM is tailor-made for children from pre-school to high school who prefer individualized and flexible approach to education.  We respect individual learning pace and eagerness of all our students.  We work with students, who want to know more.  We help to broaden their understanding and improve their study skills.  We use English as the primary language; students gradually develop and enrich proficiency in technical English vocabulary.

CTM is leading the change in Czech education – step-by-step, story-by-story

 

From Discovery Saturdays to  International Education and AP Exams

DISCOVERY PROGRAM is for children from 5 to 16 years of age.  Since its inception in 2013, children themselves choose courses, create their own schedules from a variety of subjects including courses helping them in their personal development, for example, basics of rhetoric.  Typically, children gather for in class courses once a month on Saturday in Prague.  Some courses are also available online.

CTM ONLINE is a comprehensive academic Advanced Placement (AP) program in English for students from 11 years of age to high school graduation.  CTM works with individual students and partner schools to give students the opportunity to obtain internationally recognized education.  Some students may take one or two courses, others may aspire for the AP Capstone Diploma, equivalent to the International Baccalaureate.

To obtain the AP Capstone Diploma, students accumulate credits from four AP exams during a four-year study period, in the penultimate year they complete the AP Seminar and in the last year the AP Research.  CTM students achieve excellent results in international comparisons.

CTM SCHOOL PROGRAM offers schools a portfolio of activities for motivated and gifted students online or in class.  It could include parts of the AP Program or helping schools become AP schools, offering international education including the AP Capstone Diploma in addition to the state-mandated graduation requirements.

AFCSLS

Our gratitude goes to the American Fund for Czech and Slovak Leadership Studies, which has started and has been supporting CTM programs since the beginning in 2010.  AFCSLS makes it possible for CTM to offer affordable international education for Czech and Slovak children.  CTM is especially thankful to Mr. Martin Herman and his wife Eva for their personal support to CTM.

In 2010, Mr. Herman on behalf of AFCSLS approached the Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth (CTY) to launch a talent development program for Czech and Slovak children.  AFCSLS has invested nearly two million dollars in scholarships for CTY summer program and online courses, instructor training, technical and operational support.  CTM has become the extended arm of AFCSLS.
