Kurz mi poskytl pevné základy zejména v oblasti obecné a fyzikální chemie, ze kterých jsem mohl čerpat a na kterých jsem mohl nadále stavět zejména v prvních dvou ročnících bakalářského studia. Znalosti získané v těchto kurzech bylo možné uplatnit v řadě předmětů a podstatná část učiva na vysoké škole pro mě pak nebyla nová. Případnou nástavbu následně nebylo těžké zařadit do kontextu a měl jsem více času soustředit se na předměty nechemického charakteru. V neposlední řadě byla velice prospěšná výuka v anglickém jazyce, díky které jsem získal znalosti chemické nomenklatury v angličtině nezbytné k porozumění vědeckým článkům při rešerši k literární části bakalářské a diplomové práce.
